WARNING: Do not hire a car from Del Paso Car Hire or Do You Spain. In my case, I was encouraged at time of pickup to pay extra for collision damage waiver, in which case the normal deductible would not be applied in the event of an accident. When I unfortunately had an accident through no fault of my own, the company insisted on a further €800 security deposit for the replacement vehicle. At the end of the rental, upon returning the car in impeccable condition, the company refused to return the €800. Del Paso asserted that I had violated the insurance policy through negligence or driving on a road not fit for vehicles etc. This was contradicted by my report and that of the hotel where I was staying. Despite several letters, including from my attorneys, and countless telephone calls (just try to reach someone – impossible), my case was ignored, and they kept my money. After all that, I feel violated and hurt and unfortunately €800 poorer. Del Paso and Do You Spain’s seemingly low rates disguise an inherently shoddy and fraudulent business. I was treated very shabbily and would warn you against using them or Do You Spain.
