Sad story, they did not care

Me and my sister had to travel from the Netherlands to Italy as our dad was in a critical condition in the hospital. We rent a car for a few days as we did not know what was going to happen yet. Our dad passed away and we asked if we could please rent the car for the same price for a few more days. They did not care and told us we had to pay the day free of €50 instead of the day price we rent it for €16.
We told them it is a lot of money for us and there is already so much we need to take care off to get our dad back to the Netherlands. Again, they did not care and told us there is nothing they could do.
