InterRent are a good company!
I really felt the need to write this review although I don't usually, as it's really not fair the amount of bad feedback InterRent get.I was previously quite scared to even book with them after all the things I read but it's really not entirely true!
I have used them many times for car hire from Alicante. Yes I choose the cheapest option but if I dont want to be asked for a large deposit, have the risk of paying for damages or losses, then I pay something like 30 euros extra to get FULL cover BEFORE I pick up the car. The reason people have so many "problems" with "extra" payments on arrival / check out is because they choose the very cheapest option which includes NO insurance cover, meaning of course you have to pay something when you get there to save risk of damages! It tells you so if you actually read the conditions on booking. Or you can pay a small amount more by changing the options to fully comp insurance, as well as unlimited mileage etc to stop you being liable for fuel or damage costs. I never have a problem with them, I pay my fuel cost up front when I pick up and it gets charged / frozen on my card then given back within days of returning it so long as I returned the car full. The reason people get so fed up with InterRent is because they choose the cheapest option without reading what it actually covers then get "surprised" on pick up with all the extra costs that they would know they are liable for if they actually read what they were agreeing to. And about the return of money after leaving the car, as mentioned I have never had a problem with this. The Key&Go system is also fine, it tells you on the screens how it will work and you can take a picture of it if you want to remember the info. There is also always information in the car glove box about what to do if you have any problems. OR you can always go to the desk as well as getting your key from the automatic machine if you have any questions or concerns with just walking away with the key. The staff are really helpful and friendly and there is literally no problem if you look into what you are agreeing to on booking.
